Candle Magic

It sometimes seems that life goes by so quickly, there is always something else to do and little time to enjoy it, but it seems my Sundays are now mostly a time to share special times with people, share laughter, joy and hopefully a little knowledge! Although I now seem to work lots of my Sundays, it is always something very enjoyable, and this week saw me teaching a short workshop on candle magic!

Firstly we covered the basics of deciding goals and visualising intent, what sort of candles etc. Then we looked at the different colours and what they correspond to. Next we looked at anointing your candle and which oils to choose for this, and the possibility of adding herbs too. Next came a discussion about writing your intent, either on paper (in the form of a rhyming spell) or etching words or runes into the candle itself.

Having covered the theory we moved on to more practical matters where each member of the group decided on a goal and chose an appropriate colour candle for their purpose. Then came the etching of words and symbols and the mixing of anointing oils. This was followed by dressing the candles as we filled the room with amazing aromas from all the different essential oils. Finally there was a rhyming spell and although we were not aiming at Shakespearean verse, I’m sure they will be effective none the less!

Each participant took their candles home, some also took their left over anointing oil with a promise of burning them at home with full directions on how to complete the spells. I now look forward to feedback on the results!

It really is wonderful to watch people sharing good times and learning something new that interests them. I really look forward to my working Sundays!

Crystal Energies

I have just had an amazing weekend weekend of working with the wonderful, sometimes gentle, sometimes powerful, energies of crystals.

Saturday saw me doing crystal healing and chakra balancing treatments involving dowsing the chakras to see where problems may lie, using the sound vibrations from a tibetan singing bowl and the careful placement of appropriate crystals to return the body to full balance. It wonderful to see people leave a session looking much more relaxed and happy than when they came in!

Sunday was time for me to share my love of these wonderful objects with a few other people in my Crystal Healing Workshop. I am always amazed how people come in with little confidence in their ability and intuition only to realise that they have the gift of healing within them (as we all do). It is wonderful to watch them listening to that inner knowing when dowsing chakras and choosing crystals.

I have worked with crystals for many years now and never tire of watching them bring joy to others too. I truly am blessed to be able to do what I do and share it with others.

Past Lives still present.

I have just spent a wonderful day guiding people on a journey through a previous life. I love doing past life regressions, so many different stories, so many different reactions to them. They are as wonderful and varied as the people themselves.

One of the things that always amazes me and brings me joy is the fact that no matter how hard the life, or how difficult the experiences of that life, the messages brought back into this life, the lessons learned, are invariably positive and helpful. It really gives me hope for the future and a certainty in the immortality of the human spirit. I feel honoured and blessed to be able to share in these experiences.

Busy, busy, busy!

I am always fully intending to post a least one blog entry a week, but life takes over somehow! So I thought at least if I post about what I have been doing at least that’s one less thing to think about, a subject for said blog! One of today’s activities has been to concoct recipes for a couple of upcoming workshops I am running at our fabulous local alternative shop, Purple Hayze.

I wanted to use herbs, resins and oils that resonate with each of the chakras, but in addition to this I also set myself the task of making them match the colours too! Quite a challenge as it turns out, but as you can see from the above picture, it has been quite successful, and the aroma in my kitchen now is amazing! I am now really looking forward to this workshop and can’t wait for it to come!
