Lughnasadh already!

Well here we are, in August already. I don’t know if its true what they say, that time speeds up as you get older, or is it the old adage time flies when you”re having fun? Whatever it is, this year seems to be just flying by!
That is what I love about the pagan festivals, its makes you just stop for a short time, and notice what is happening around you, how nature changes during the year. The Brimstone Yellow butterflies have given way to the cabbage whites, the wasps, of which I have seen very few so far, are making their presence known now that the fruit is beginning to ripen. There is that slight pause, that expectant feeling as we watch the produce in the garden slowly swelling and softening, ready for the many delicious dishes yet to be enjoyed.
The long school holidays are stretching out for another month yet, the summer activities well underway. Reading and crafting in the garden is doing its job in relaxing the body and soothing the spirit.
Weekends are busy, busy, busy! Tomorrow sees me teaching a workshop on candle magic in the morning, then joining in with our groups Lughnasadh ritual in the afternoon and Sunday sees us heading down to Nottingham to Pagan Pride. The following 5 weekends are equally as full, but we must take advantage while the weather is with us, for too soon will the nights start to lengthen and the temperatures creep downwards to Winter.
For now though, there is still much summer to enjoy, and I intend to do just that, and to experience everything that this season has to offer!
Lughnasadh Blessings to all and may the Awen be ever flowing /|\
